Blue Sea Press is a company located in Portland, Oregon, USA. The primary purpose of the company is to provide Japanese learning systems.
Todd Adkisson
Todd Adkisson owns and operates Blue Sea Press. He has developed the products that the company offers: Kanji Learning Today, Online and Workbook, and Japanese Accent: Penult Standard.
He graduated from the University of California—Davis in 1985 with a major in English Writing and a minor in Classical Greek. He completed the teacher certification program at Central Washington University in 1989 and studied Japanese at the University of Washington in 1990. He went to Japan in 1990 and stayed as a resident until 1995.
He began developing Japanese language learning materials while living in Japan and has continued to improve the products and add new items since that time.
In addition, Todd Adkisson has worked as a professional translator for over 20 years and is certified by the American Translators Association.
He has an active Education Certificate in the State of Washington and continues to teach at public schools on an occasional basis.
The Tag Line
Blue Sea Press has the tag line “Japanese Learning Systems” because Kanji Learning Today is a system for learning kanji, Japanese Accent: Penult Standard is a system for learning accent.
